Broadmarsh Rock Revetment

We were contracted by the local authority to undertake coastal repair of an existing armourlock system with new armourstone.

The works involved removal of existing armourlock system and sub-base materials, the casting of concrete side haunches to avoid material washout. We then placed the geotextile membrane and 175t of armourstone and tarmac reinstatement to the footpaths.

Works were undertaken during tidal conditions therefore a long reach excavator was adopted to avoid use of mechanical plant on the foreshore
