Barnham Temporary Bridges

Avon Construction were awarded the contract for the design and installation of a temporary vehicle and temporary pedestrian bridges to allow access to a Barratt Homes development. It will be in place for up to a year until the main bridge is constructed.

The scope of works included the clearance of site, the extension of a haul road, construction of the pile mats and the reinforced concrete abutment for the vehicle bridge and a mass fill concrete abutment for the pedestrian bridge.

The temporary bridges were lifted into place using a 20t excavator.
