Herston Carriage Shed

Work has completed at Herston for the design and build of a steel frame carriage shed. Contracted by Swanage Rail, we undertook the principal contractor role for the design and build of the carriage shed to house Swanage Rail rolling stock. The works were carried out under a full line possession between January and March making use of the rail off-season. This contract originally commenced in 2021 when the foundations were cast, but was parked due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The installation of the steel frame, side and roof cladding, inclusive of fleece blanket, rainwater pipes and under track drainage crossings were delivered on time for the rail timetable to recommence in April.”
