Weymouth Pleasure Pier Guardrail
Work has finished on site at Weymouth Pleasure Pier to replace some 200m of guardrail for Dorset Council. The new guard is to replace the existing which has fallen into a state of disrepair. The works involve:
Survey of old rail and design of new guard rail
removal of old guard rail
Installation of new guard rail
Monitoring of pier structure during works
All works were carried out whilst the pier was open for public access during the busy summer season; so public safety was at the forefront. Operatives took particular care with working in the marine environment and working in accordance with our ‘open edges’ procedures
